Greenhouses for Cambodia

Despite Corona

In cooperation with the GIZ Siem Reap we support four co-operative vegetable farmers in the Banteay Meanchey Province with the acquisition of greenhouses on the basis of 50:50 co-financing. The aim is to set up four local model farms for year-round cultivation of organically produced vegetables. Above all, this includes the use of greenhouses. By regulating rainwater and solar radiation, year-round production can be built up and pest infestation prevented. This helps to reduce the use of pesticides, which saves money and gives ecologically better and healthier products.
The implementation of further training and qualification measures for young vegetable farmers in the field of ecologically sustainable vegetable cultivation is planned.
