The exchange trip between the Gottfried Semper School and Sybrand van Niekerk High School was a complete success and a milestone for the school partnership. In South Africa, we visited Sybrand van Niekerk High School, explored the impressive Kruger National Park and the charming town of Sabie.

The main aim was to make the partnership more visible in both schools. One highlight was the development of a “Hall of Fame” in which German and South African personalities were juxtaposed - a creative idea that underlines the diversity and similarities between our cultures.

The visit to Germany also offered unforgettable experiences. After visiting the Gottfried Semper School, the guests immersed themselves in the vibrant life of Hamburg, took a relaxing pedal boat trip and enjoyed a convivial barbecue evening.

This trip not only gave rise to many new impressions and friendships, but also strengthened cooperation between the schools - an inspiring step on the way to a sustainable partnership.
