With the support of the Professor Nowak Foundation, a climate protection project was carried out at 5 schools in the Mayuge district in eastern Uganda from September 2024 to February 2025.
The local organizer Mpuuga Edigar planned information events at the schools on the topics of climate change and the effects of deforestation.
The topic of deforestation is very topical in the district, as there have already been several landslides in the neighboring region at the foot of Mount Elgon, which have also affected villages.
